FREE MEDICARE FOR EZELEKE COMMUNITY (Photos)
It was a give back time for the sons and daughters of Ezeleke community in Umuahia Abia State of Nigeria.
Seeing the Christmas season as a time to show love, the Ezeleke Federated Assembly Lagos decided to put together a Free Medical program that will extend Medicare to the less privileged in their society.
The event which had the support of the Umuopara Clan Union in United States and the School of Midwifery Amachara Alumni took place at the Ezeleke Primary school compound in Umuabali, Friday 27th December 2019.
8 Medical Doctors led by the CMD of Abia Specialist Hospital Dr. Ogbuehi, one ophthalmologist and over 15 Nurses were on ground to attend to over 354 people including men, women and children.
There were free drugs and optical glases. Free tests and other examinations.
The president of the Lagos body who headed the mission Mr. Ugwunna Nwaukwa commended the members for their resilience and support especially the committee PRO, Ralph Nwafor, Peter Uruakpa, David Nwaubani and others.
He also appreciated the individuals who’s financial supports led to the acquisition of drugs and equipments which contributed to the success of the event.
Speaking further with naijahitplay media crew, he promised to make it an annual event with the next edition positioned to come out better than this.
It was indeed a great outing that added so much smiles on the faces of ndi Ezeleke comprising Amankwo, Amachara, Umuabali, Umuba, Umuekwule and Umuojameze.
Before this maiden edition, individuals have been carrying out such in smaller scales.
