The annual Best of Nollywood Awards has become the most consistent Filmmakers Award in Nigeria, and it is well known for moving from one state of the federation to the other as every state wants to be the proud host of the annual glitz and constellation of Nollywood Stars!

This year, it was Ogun State that hosted the prestigious awards. Many stars and dignataries graced the occasion. The night was full of memorable events but the peak of the night was the last award presented to sultry actress Jumoke Odetola who joined the league of Faithia Balogun, Toyin Aimakhu, Mercy Aigbe etc. to win Best Actress in a leading role (Yoruba) from the movie SOMEWHERE IN THE DARK.   Somewhere in the dark actually had five nominations at BON 2017 but won only in one; Best Actress (Yoruba).

Jumoke Odetola has won many awards including a back-to-back win at the AMVCA. and she has been pegged to be the new Nollywood’s favourite.

Faithia won BON 2015, Toyin Aimakhu won it in 2016 and now JUMOKE OLAMIDE ODETOLA 2017. Congratulations Binta Ofege and welcome to the big league.
